Kandidaten kunnen in aanmerking komen voor vrijstelling van part IV van het examen wanneer zij een van de volgende Nederlandse titels hebben behaald*:

• Registeraccountant (RA);
• Register Operational Auditor (RO);
• Register EDP Auditor (RE);
• Accountant-Administratieconsulent (AA);

Ook indien u eerder met succes een ander examen van IIA Inc. (CCSA, CGAP, CFSA) hebt afgelegd, komt u in aanmerking voor vrijstelling van Part IV (u dient dan wel als bewijs een kopie van het certificaat over te leggen). Voor een overzicht van overige buitenlandse titels die recht geven op vrijstelling verwijzen wij u naar de website van IIA Inc.

Wanneer u meent in aanmerking te komen voor vrijstelling van part IV dient u een kopie van inschrijving in een relevant register bij uw inschrijving te voegen en een vrijstellingsformulier in te vullen. Dit formulier vindt u hier. Klik hier voor de job en industriecodes. Indien aan u vrijstelling wordt verleend, blijft u wel de kosten voor Part IV verschuldigd. U krijgt de bevestiging van de vrijstelling gelijk met de uitslag van de examens die u aflegt.

*Het curriculum van het CIA examen wordt voortdurend aangepast aan de ontwikkelingen in het vakgebied. Dat heeft ook consequenties voor het vrijstellingsbeleid. Het moment van aanvraag is daarom bepalend voor het toekennen van de vrijstelling. De op het moment van aanvraag geldende regel wordt toegepast. Professional Recognition Credit Part IV

Candidates may be eligible for a professional recognition credit for part IV if they have one of the following Dutch titles*:

• Registeraccountant (RA);
• Register Operational Auditor (RO);
• Register EDP Auditor (RE);
• Accountant-Administratieconsulent (AA);

Also if you have successfully completed another IIA Inc. exam (CCSA, CGAP, CFSA) you are eligible for a professional recognition credit part IV (you do have to provide a copy of your certificate). If you think you are eligible for a professional recognition credit for part IV you have to include your registration with the appropriate charter with the form for your professional registration credit.  You can find this form here. If you are granted a professional recognition credit, the costs for the part IV are still applicable.  You will receive confirmation of your professional recognition credit along with the results of your exams.
