COSO Issues Updated Internal Control-Integrated Framework COSO issued today its updated Internal Control-Integrated Framework and related illustrative documents. The updated Framework is expected to help organizations design and implement internal control in light of many changes in business and operating environments since the issuance of the original Framework, broaden the application of internal control in addressing operations and reporting objectives, and clarify the requirements for determining what constitutes effective internal control. As a sponsoring organization of COSO, The IIA introduces The IIA's COSO Resource Center. You can also find here the new COSO report (updated Framework).

New IPPF Practice Advisory Released - 2320-3: Audit Sampling The IIA's Practice Advisory (PA) 2320-3: Audit Sampling includes 21 points of relevance related to best practices for this critical undertaking for internal auditors. As the PA explains, in forming an audit opinion or conclusion, auditors frequently do not examine all the information available, since it may be impractical and valid conclusions can be reached using audit sampling.
