The Executive Internal Auditing Program (EIAP) of the Amsterdam Business School (ABS) and the Internal Auditing & Advisory Program (IAA) of the Erasmus School of Accounting & Assurance (ESAA) have once again been recognised by the Academic Relations Committee of the international Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) as a Center of Internal Audit Excellence.
IAEP program schools (Internal Auditing Education Partnership) are schools teaching an internal auditing curriculum within a degree program (undergraduate or post-graduate) endorsed by The IIA. The schools have gone through a rigorous application process and are monitored by The IIA’s Academic Relations Committee (ARC).
In the world, there are 47 universities participating in the IIA’s Internal Auditing Education Partnership. For the period 2016-2021, these two Dutch universities, together with one South African and three American universities, are designated as a Center of Internal Audit Excellence.
These IAEP programs are identified as teaching a curriculum within a college or university degree program that consists of a minimum of four courses related to the internal audit profession (as agreed to between the school and ARC) and equate to a concentration, a minor, or a major within a specific academic discipline. It also recognizes the quality, sustainability, volume of students completing the program, and longevity of the program.
