 COSO announced on October 21, 2014 plans to review and update the 2004 Enterprise Risk Management–Integrated Framework (Framework). Originally published in 2004, the Framework is a widely accepted by management to enhance an organization’s ability to manage uncertainty and gauge how much risk to accept. The project is also intended to enhance the Framework’s content and relevance so that organizations can attain better value from their ERM programs. More information about the project, including a news released and FAQs, are posted on COSO’s website at http://www.coso.org/. As you know, COSO is an unincorporated joint venture between The IIA and four other partners, and I serve on the COSO Board as The IIA’s representative. |
