Ethical training mandatory for maintaining certificate

25-10-2017

In 2018, all active IIA certificate holders must include 2 hours of ethics training as part of the annual continuing professional education (CPE) to maintain their certifications.

This new requirement fosters compliance with The IIA’s Code of Ethics and encourages certified individuals to achieve proficiency in professional ethics and demonstrates The IIA’s commitment to the highest professional standards. The requirement applies to all IIA certifications and qualifications, including CIA, CRMA, CCSA, CGAP, CFSA, CPEA, CPSA, and QIAL

IIA Netherlands will add ethical courses to the training program. Ethics will also be a part of the programm of the IIA congress in June 2018.  We will inform you about these training programms and other possibilities to comply, through our website, newsletters and social media.

All certified individuals who are required to report CPE in 2017 will receive email reminders to report.  The 2017 CPE reporting forms require certified individuals to attest that they understand that the Ethics requirement will be mandatory starting 2018.
