30-07-2009Impact of the Economic Crisis on IIA Institutes | ||
Fifty IIA Institutes participated in a survey conducted by Global IIA about the Impact of the Economic Crisis on their Institute. The results reveal that not all Institutes around the world have been impacted. Significantly more institutes (59%) reported an increase in membership in the past year than those reporting a decrease (13.6%). Of those who reported a decrease, 50% indicated that the decrease was between 0 % and 5%. From a financial standpoint, an equal number of Institutes reported an increase in revenue as those reporting a decrease in the past 12 months. Less than one third of the Institutes who participated in the survey increased their membership dues in the last year. As a way to cope with the economic climate, however, the majority of Institutes have already implemented expense reduction initiatives and have contingency plans in place, should additional cuts be warranted. A detailed report of the survey results is available on the restricted pages of the Leaders Support section of the IIA website. |
