05-10-2011IRM - Risk Appetite & Tolerance Guidance Paper | ||
Today, risk appetite is a core consideration in any enterprise risk management approach. However, whether it is a matter of setting, monitoring or overseeing risk appetite, the subject has proved to be somewhat elusive - it means many different things to many different people. In response, IRM (The Institute of Risk Management) has recently published the 'guidance paper' with the objective to provide a theoretical underpinning to the subject of risk appetite and - more importantly - to provide some guidance for those who need to deal with the subject, either for their corporate governance statements, or, alternatively, simply because they think the discussion would inform the way their organisation is run. |
