Larry Harrington’s Challenge regarding Internal Audit Foundation
A message from Larry Harrington, former Chairman of IIA Global:
"While my theme as Global Chairman was to encourage every internal auditor to “Invest in Yourself,” I also feel strongly that we need to collectively invest in the future of our profession. With that goal in mind, I wish to recognize The Internal Audit Foundation, formerly The IIA Research Foundation, for everything it has done in the last 40 years to develop global knowledge and insights that help drive the internal audit profession.
I appeal to you to help the Foundation find the resources it takes to develop this knowledge, particularly on a global scale. It’s a worthy investment that each and every one of us should consider making to demonstrate our support and passion about our profession and The IIA.
It is my pleasure to announce a special campaign to invest in our profession globally where each donation to the Foundation will receive a 50% match from an anonymous donor, for the next 90 days only, to help us reach our US $20,000 fundraising goal. This goal, to think globally and act locally, will support the Foundation’s commitment to producing more globally relevant content.
Please help the Foundation meet membership needs, along with their US$20,000 fundraising goal, as these initiatives are funded solely by generous contributions, not member dues. Thank you for all you do to help support the future of internal auditing. With your continued support, possibilities are limitless for the value we can add to the organizations and people we serve and the profession you are building today for tomorrow.
Lawrence J. Harington, CIA, QIAL, CRMA, CPA
2015-2016 Global Chairman of the Board"
