Since January 2012, The IIA has been implementing, on a language-by-language basis, two key changes that enhance the certification candidate’s exam experience:
These two changes are enabling The IIA to reduce the candidate’s exam seat time and avoid an impending price increase from the testing vendor. Status of Certification Exams CIA Exam Currently, all four parts of the CIA exam are available in the new format in the following languages: English, Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese (Unsimplified), French, German, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Thai, and Czech. The Russian CIA exams will be available on August 3, 2012. The Turkish and Hebrew CIA exams are planned to be published by the end of September. Specialty Exams The roll-out of the specialty exams (CCSA, CFSA, and CGAP) began in July. Just as all four CIA parts for each language were published concurrently in the new format, all of the specialty exams in a supported language are being published concurrently. The specialty exams are being implemented on a language-by-language basis according to the following preliminary schedule:
