IIA Professional Practice Day: VOR – guidance for the roles of IA

De PP-dagen zijn bedoeld om de vaktechnische kennis van verschillende organisatie te verbinden en vanuit ieders inbreng te leren van elkaar. Omdat de ruimte beperkt is en we zoveel mogelijk organisaties de gelegenheid willen geven om deel te nemen, is er in beginsel plaats voor slechts één ervaringsdeskundige per organisatie.

The PP days are intended to connect the professional knowledge of different organizations and to learn from each other based on everyone's input. Because space is limited and we want to give as many organizations as possible the opportunity to participate, only one experienced expert per organization can participate.

On 5 February 2026, the CPP organizes a Professional Practice day (PP day) on Guidance for the role of the IAF regarding the Verklaring omtrent Risicobeheersing (VOR). 

Effective with the financial year beginning January 1, 2025, the VOR has been included as a requirement in the Dutch Corporate Governance Code. IIA Netherlands previously published a Practice Guide in 2024 on the role of the IAF in the VOR. Now we would like to expand on this and provide insight and guidance on how the IAF can plan, execute, and report on its activities related to the VOR. Based on a survey, this PP-day will create important input for this Guide.

During this PP day, we want to exchange experiences and come up with tips & tricks:

• What roles are you effectively performing?
• What are your good practices?
• What challenges are still there, and how can we overcome these?

During the event, we therefore will encourage all visitors to actively engage in discussions, share their unique experiences, and provide valuable insights.
